Mel is the oldest living actor I'm aware of that was talking about trade and banking concerns on TV when we were young. I didn't see the clips then but I found them when I started doing that research. He could see the shift of manufacturing of things like steel to China and asia and recognized it for what it was. Later, he also spoke out about a Hollywood underbelly that has now shown itself, a decade or two after he first spoke out.

The Matrix Alternative - The idea that non-AI driven technology support staff that wants information into the current domain uses opportunities to try to educate is an alternative theory. An intelligence agency with snoopers. The only problem I have with that theory is the speed with which they would have to be working and the access to all the systems they would have to have to stear that type of "guidance". They'd almost have to operating on a different time wave with far greater increments. In other words, a second in our world would be like 10 or 20 in theirs. A bit like is portrayed in the Matrix.

The God/Nature Alternative - The other option is just "Coincidence". Just "Coincidence" related to a magic domain called Earth. Magically Divine by Design.
